Atomic Data co-owners John Dowdle, Jim Wolford and Larry Patterson

For the 3rd straight year, Atomic Data has been ranked as one of the Twin Cities' fastest growing private companies.  Ranked at number 42, Atomic Data has grown at a rate of 44.84% since 2013.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal sat down with CEO Jim Wolford and asked him:

What’s your company’s fastest-growing expense?

Charitable contributions. Our growth has provided us the opportunity to give more back to our community, and from 2014 to 2015 charitable contributions increased 115 percent. In addition, charitable contributions have increased 62 percent during the first half of 2016 on a year-over-year basis.

What do you expect your 2016 revenue to be? And why?

We are on track to hit $25.2 million in revenue in 2016. This is being fueled by growth in our monthly recurring revenue from managed services, specifically NOC monitoring services, as well as the continued growth in The Atomic Cloud.

What’s your strategy to hire enough qualified workers to keep up with growth?

First and foremost we built a great culture with desirable office locations. We offer people constantly evolving challenges and outlets for their passion. Paying people what they’re worth makes sure they stick around.
